Rep. Hammond’s legislative office is a leader in cutting bureaucratic red tape and helping her constituents with their state government issues. Rep. Hammond’s previous experience as legislative aide to the late Rich Myers has given her the know-how to navigate Illinois state issues.
Rep. Hammond is the Minority Spokeswoman on the Higher Education committee in Springfield. She has worked and continues to work to provide equitable funding for all public schools. Including the ending proration for Illinois’ K through 12 schools. Rep. Hammond is an advocate in Springfield for WIU and our local community colleges.
Rep. Hammond has worked tirelessly to secure and maintain Amtrak funding for the Macomb rail station. Rep. Hammond supports safe and fiscally responsible road construction projects, including maintaining and improving the Beardstown and Havana bridges.
Rep. Norine Hammond is a member of the Illinois Farm Bureau. Her work in promoting Illinois Agriculture has earned her the coveted “Friend of Agriculture” award. She also is a board member for State Agriculture and Rural Leaders at the Council of State Government. Norine supports Illinois farmers and their endeavor to feed the world.
